Have more fun - Hear less crying
Teach your Baby to Sign !!
Children between 6 months and 3 years benefit greatly when they communicate with their caregivers using BOTH words and ASL (American Sign Language) signs.
Some of these benefits include…
· Less whining, crying, and feelings of frustration (WAY LESS)
· Less guesswork for parents
· Higher IQ test scores when older
· Early verbal skills, more advanced and complex use of words
· More attention given by parents, more eye contact
· More usage of music and books as teaching aids
I know what you’re thinking, you’ve almost got the “feed—change—play—change—feed—sleep—change—feed—play (etc) “ thing down, and now you’re supposed to teach sign language on top of everything else?
You may think people who sign with their Babies are just “crazy Californians” or over-achiever parents. But there’s something they know that you may not know…...those daily tasks become so much easier when there are clear lines of communication between your Baby and you. I felt that signing with Brandon (my son, pictured on the left) was just magic!
Signing is a gift that you give to your Baby that makes every single aspect of life easier, and more fun! And the really good news is, it is simple to teach your Baby to sign. All you have to do is sign when you speak certain key words, and patiently allow your child 1 to 2 months to absorb the information. He’ll sign back to you with glee one day, I promise. (If you’re one of those people who wave when you say “Bye Bye” you’re halfway there!)
I do teach Parent and Teacher Workshops and I also offer home consultations (private & group) that can motivate you and teach you many signs. I learned much of what I know for FREE and here are some of the things that helped me, I know they can help you too!

My #1 tip to parents teaching
their babies to sign is:
Don’t sign a little, sign a lot!
You can do it! Good Luck!! |
